Mothership entrance, coral castle destruction, cosmic summer party and more
Fortnite update 17.10 is coming soon, and fans are bursting with excitement. This is not only the first major update of the new season, but also the start of important events in the game.
In addition to the in-game events taking place, the update may also bring in new potential weapons, NPCs, and cosmetics. However, these are secondary to what is about to unfold after the Fortnite 17.10 update.
According to the leaks, the Coral Castle will ignite after the update, players will be able to explore the interior of the mothership, and Epic Games will have a crazy cosmic summer party to suit the overall alien theme.
Still, the first Fortnite update 17.10 patch notes should be taken with a pinch of salt, as things predicted might not come true in full.

Time to fight in the shadow of the mothership
After Fortnite Season 7 went live, the mothership left the island alone and wandered away for a while. However, it looks like after Fortnite update 17.10, the mothership will be back and players will have a chance to explore its interiors.
While leaks regarding the Mothership being a possible POI have been around for days, Epic has finally confirmed the same via a tweet.
By all means, players will be kidnapped by new Fortnite UFOs and taken to the Mothership or directly kidnapped by the Mothership itself. It remains to be seen which of these holds after the Fortnite 17.10 update.
The coral castle explodes
Based on the latest HYPEX leaks regarding Coral Castle, it looks like the IO will take over the POI after it’s destroyed. While no confirmation has come from Epic about the mothership ruining the location, several data leaks and minors suggest the same.
Although the cause of the destruction is unknown, it is possible that the POI will not be destroyed after Fortnite update 17.10. By all accounts, it seems too early in the season for any major breakthroughs in the storyline to take place.

Cosmic summer party
Alien posters have been appearing around Believer Beach since the start of Fortnite Season 7. While many believed it would be a live-action in-game event, Epic has discredited those rumors.
Based on feedback from a Fortnite official, the Cosmic Summer Party will be a two-week event. This would make sense as the new season has only just started and the developers would like players to enjoy a long-lasting event rather than a short one.
While details regarding this “Game” have not yet been released, new cosmetic and experience bonuses may be obtained during the event. More information should be available after the Fortnite 17.10 update.
Fortnite Update 17.10 bug fixes
It goes without saying that major updates contain a plethora of bug fixes. While most of them are technical and don’t affect the Battle Royale mode much, there are fixes that affect certain aspects of the game and improve the quality.
Fortnite update 17.10 will address general issues, BR specific issues, and some creative issues players may have encountered. Additionally, minor bug fixes will also be made to Save the World mode.
