Top line

The last false documentary of the actor Sacha Baron Cohen, Borat Post Moviefilm, may cause problems for the Trump administration, as the media portray a scene in which President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani appears to have suggestively put his hand in his pants in the presence of an actress posing as a reporter, although some viewers say the scene isn’t as infamous as it has been featured.

Highlights

According to The Guardian, Giuliani was caught on hidden cameras reaching his pants and apparently stroking himself after being invited to a hotel room with an actress posing as a reporter for a conservative TV show in Kazakhstan after an interview.

In the film, Giulani “can be seen lying on the bed, fiddling with his unfolded shirt and reaching into his pants,” according to the report, at which point Cohen’s character barges in and tells the former New York mayor, ” She is 15! She is too old for you!”

Journalists and entertainment figures who saw the clip disagree on the nature of what Giuliani was doing – some say he was setting his shirt, while others claim that the scene is “worse than you think. “

The GuardianThe account contradicts the way Giuliani himself described the incident at New York Post over the summer, saying he was participating in a meeting when “this guy comes running in, wearing some crazy outfit, I would say it was a pink transgender outfit.”

Giuliani said he called the police in Cohen, saying it may have been a “scam or a jolt. ”

“I didn’t realize until later that it had to be Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he had fooled before, and I felt good about myself because he didn’t understand meGiuliani said at the time.

Giuliani took to Twitter to defend himself on Wednesday, writing that he was only tucking his shirt in, adding: “At no time before, during or after the interview was I inappropriate. Si Sacha Baron Cohen lets hear the opposite, it is a icy liar. “

Key context

Cohen uses his character of Borat, a totally deaf and politically incorrect journalist from Kazakhstan, to surprise his interviewees in embarrassing and compromising situations. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller confirmed earlier this month he was also the victim of one of Cohen’s pranks for the 2006 sequel. Borat. “It’s a good thing that I’m not one of those politicians who take themselves too seriously,” Miller said, adding that Cohen also overthrew Giuliani. The film will be available to stream on Friday via Amazon Prime.
