FedScoop Announces Top Federal IT Bosses 2021
Just as everyday life itself has changed dramatically over the past 15 months amid the COVID-19 pandemic, so has the concept of leadership.
As human contact and face-to-face interaction were removed from federal operations largely during the pandemic, IT managers were forced to communicate and engage with their teams in new, often virtual, ways. Nonetheless, the federal workforce and supporting industries have risen up and supported the vital technology operations and services that Americans depend on.
FedScoop once again honors the top bosses in federal IT, this year with a focus on celebrating federal tech decision makers and champions who have seized the opportunity to lead their organizations in light of the challenges persisting from the COVID-19 crisis.
“The only thing the pandemic has shown us as a federal enterprise is that when we look at the use of modern tools and technology, we can carry out our mission in a way that we pensions initially impossible, “Federal CIO Clare Martorana told FedScoop. “We found new ways of working and collaborating with our colleagues and also identified areas where we can work smarter, for example by enabling digital signatures, launching self-service tools for agencies, websites that focus on customer needs, and give the federal workforce and the American people access to digital forms. “
Martorana continued, “The pandemic has shown us that it is more important than ever to think about ways to provide exceptional customer service to our citizens anytime, anywhere, from any device anytime. security. We have so many opportunities before us to energize digital modernization efforts across government. “
The list of winners includes tireless CIOs, CISOs, and other federal IT decision-makers who strive to fulfill their agency’s mission and serve the American public through technology. The list also includes industry leaders who are instrumental in working with federal agencies to deliver the critical business technologies they use.
